The jasper preform was found two weeks ago. The holes in the blade are deliberate and at one time may have contained emerald or ruby etc.. I'm including a sample pic of material used in the work, it's a different piece.

Just a rock. (Not to mention that if there were “intentions” holes in anything, how would you possibly know what used to be in them?)

:dontknow:

Your knife pic didn't load.
7 pictures of different stones , and zero of a knife.

Precious stone(s) inlet into a blade? Please post the picture of that!
It defies logic in a blade to be used but that's alright.
Maybe it is from Tuts tomb. And decorated the hard way instead of inletting the handle.

Being a cutting tool has to be harder than the material cut and knife blades not being made from dried clay , how do you suppose precious stone inletting "holes" were made in hard stone?
And why?
Did ancient Egyptians in Pa. put handles on thier blister making blade hole drills?
Do you have even one other inlet blade from Pa. documented and submitted for peer review by a non bong smoking/non edibles consuming crack for desert curator to compare to?

I have an example look at the new pic.

New pic is still just a rock. If you’re suggesting that the two possible inclusions there are emerald or Ruby, you are mistaken. It’s just a rock.

The different style that I am referring to could of easily been made for trade purposes not necessarily for production. Thanks
