STONE id help please

Hello,
Few years ago this stone was found in sands in a trip to north africa. This stone broke few years ago so a piece of it is missing.
what do you think it is ?
of the 2 pic show the interior after it broke

It looks like Quartz to me.

Quartz is my thought also. Being broken now more than likely will effect the value I'm thinking.
