We've had some rain, but still a lot of smoke in the air from wildfires out west, or else we're in a new Cheech y Chong movie. One pic of success, I've been tryin to grow Indian Blanket flowers up here for two years, and finally one came up. They don't like the climate and altitude up here, and this is a little different version than what grows wild in Oklahoma, but I probably got the only one in the county.

We're getting some rain, and the fire condition is moderate now. We had one wildfire break out on the north end of the county, but they were able to shut it down pretty quick. We might squeak through another fire season with no major events.

I can get Indian Blankets to grow in my prairie but they won't come back the following year. They're tuned for certain conditions that I don't have. Gary

What wonderful colours the flower has, first time seeing one. Thanks
I was thinking of folks out west and the evacuations and smoke yesterday.

Your pictures are very beautiful,,,We also had smoke from the fires over here

I have a zero scape yard and the Indian Blanket is a nice plant that does super well. I grabbed some from a beach side lot about to be developed and stuck it in my yard. It took right off and I have to cull it or it would take over. I leave it in little groups around my irises. It does very well here on the island along with Black Eyed Susie's.
