I keep thinking it is a gravity hanger of some kind. The big end clips around a pole and the something heavy hangs in the rectangle. But I have no idea really...

It is a heavy duty piece, whatever it is.

What is the story on it and what else was found with it?

i found it in the woods in Palacka Fl. near what looked like an old burnt down block building or house. Thats all i found there because there were wide hogs running around all pissed off from the noise my detector was making must say i got out of there really fast before they could find me.
