I have about 25 whole points and probably 10 times as many brokes. Plus around 20 whole knives. I just finished preserving the antler and bone finds with the Duco/Acetone mix. It took over 2 hours to dip 40 pieces. My primary dig area is starting to dry up. Thanks for replying.

nice pieces
in the 5th image the brokes would look great if you would just glue them back together

that polished drill looks great...it is hard to find those type of things as whole pieces and not broke since they are so very fragile
i would love to see a better image of the 1rst and 2nd picture...it looks like you have a good camera ...if you placed them in your hand...
or placed them on that paper towel i think you would get a better focus...i am thinking that your camera was possibly
focusing on the background (which was maybe a foot away rather than focusing on the thin piece in your hand
i am by far no authority on photography and am not trying to be smart...but i think it would help......
another reason i say this is cuz i am interest in seeing a good shot of it since i really like it...
it looks so highly polished....digger and i each have a small collection of similar pieces made from KRF and agate
we call these "the melted plastic" culture since they are so polished...and yours seems as if it fits this description?....i think....
thanks for posting...don't give up on your spot..go left, go right, go backwards or maybe deeper...
there must be more around there someplace...and good luck to you
steve

Here is a pic I took in my hand. Thanks Steve.

hey thanks..it is a better image....and looks mighty good
do you think it is polished...it looks like a backed drill..and a nice one

It has three sides. I have found quite a few similar to it in the same area. But not made of this material.

Great finds, Catherine. Love the drill! Love finding them too.

I find more brokes than whole. Thanks for the post/views.

Same here when diggin more brokes than wholes but keep an eye out for matches sometimes the flint patinates a different color on broke pieces. nice finds

I matched up two brokes a couple of weeks ago. Of course it could have been broken by me. I posted it with some other finds. It is hard to see where I glued it. Turned out to be one of my favorite artifacts. I probably have found over 400 broken pieces. Most of my whole pieces are worn out. The good ones probably got dropped and lost. We have had a lot of rain the past couple days thank God. Hope to find some decent stuff this weekend. Thanks for replying Birdcloud.
