All this walking around digging up pennies is still fun:

...and I used to be able to go on forever.

But, MAN! I found myself constantly retreating to the shadows today!
I simply can't take this sort of heat like I once could. :(

Not a "bad" day, any time swinging is good time. Still....

Managed a whole wheat, lightly toasted. :dontknow:

The crew's threatening to go on strike if I stop bringing them their toys. ;)
But, I'm just fried! :( I love that I can go as often as I like but....it seems that
my limitations are showing. :(

Stay cool out there folks!

Thanks for peeking!

Nope not at all. A lot enjoy his posts including me. Looks like a very profitable day. I would rather have this heat than a foot of snow any day!! Congrats on all the keepers

Take heart WHADIFIND!! Cooler weather (and better hunting conditions) is on the way............
Still you managed a nice haul for the day..........way to get after it!!

Hi Kevin; Cool Finds.!! Pardon the pun. :laughing7: Glad to see you still at it. Keep it up. PEACE:RONB

Looks like you found enough to buy batteries for your Pro! I seldom get that lucky. lol
I like diggin pennies too, because sometimes they turn out to be buttons. Way to go!

Nice Hunt ! Is that a 1955 or 1958 wheat ?

I think Sunday was my worst day ever outside when talking Heat.
actual breathing was a chore. I was getting a lot of stares stopping & Clutching my chest
while breathing like I just climbed Mt. Everest,
or was living in a Plastic Bag while walking around the Farmers Market.
Yes I've had more Painful times Shivering uncontrollably with a feeling of No way to warm up to the bones.
and all it took was to find a good Strong fan to stand in front of to give me a second breath. but
this summer is a bit interesting.

according to the Weather man, I may be able to Mow My Lawn & burn my trash tomorrow ..
He also said "Get the Snow Shovels Out" ! 81 degrees This weekend .

Anyway Good Hunt

If you are free to hunt anytime you choose just start earlier and don't stay out long. I have been doing my local beach at three in the morning after work. Not much but clad and some eyeball finds. Keeps me going though till cooler weather.

Cool digs Whadi, I am also thankful for shaded areas on very hot days or else I try to hunt in the water.

I see you are from the South also. My grandfather always said the south had humbug weather " I ask what humbug weather was. He told me "humidity & bugs" October will be here soon keep plenty of PBR on ice until then :-)

Take it easy out there. The cool weather will return shortly.

It's been too hot for me too.

This summer weather has definitely been hotter here, too. I am cold natured but am looking for ward to 60-70 weather. It will be here before.you know it. I hunted in more shaded areas to avoid the searing heat. Unfortunately, that doesn't do much to avoid the high.humidity. Today was my first day to go hunt and it's pouring down rain:( Glad you got out and found something to take home with you. I would love to find more wheat pennies.

I'll take the heat as opposed to snow cover any day, though admit the dog days of August can get to you sometimes! Nice little haul though despite it all.

Not here in the South, we like our deep snows of 2 inches, no one can make it into work, but everybody makes it to the grocery store for beer and chips, along with 5 gallons of milk and 6 loaves of Bread. Its a major holiday(even if the holiday is less than 24 hours) , but we still dont know what to do with all the bread & milk though:occasion14:

Nice collection of finds as usual! Hats off to you for braving the heat. I see you are south of the Mason Dixon, so no doubt suffering the heat and humidity I am here in Virginia. I swear, I just about need gills to breath out there. But autumn is coming!

Whadi! Two very nice archery-related pins in one place, wonder what happened there, a tournament? Robin Hood party? The Four H one looks old. Nice digs. Keep swinging and posting! Sub 8-)

Nice assortment of goodies! :occasion14: Fishy does appear a bit apprehensive around the sharp arrow pin.
