Had a good time walking and diggin for three days and yesterday I found a great CS plate. I am trying to get in shape for my summer dredging for gold in Nome. I still need a few dredgers that want to go to my inland claims. 205-672-9310
This CS plate is my eleventh and the first in many years. I haven't looked on dry land much in a long time.

Can you say rare. I am glad you do not hunt land much it gives us a chance. Very nice find.Good luck in Nome.

Did he say "eleven"? ...wow. I say banner for this one:thumbsup:

Lucky is good but don't count on it. Lots of research, read diaries, persistence and try to find a spot that you find on your own. Relics don't grow back. Save as much of our history as you can find.

eleventh CS plate ? & they call these Rare ?

Nice Find !& Congrats on the Banner !

From everything I read about CS relics that one is extremely tough to find. Congrats.

Nice banner find! great condition!

You're the men Steve, love seeing you on Gold Fever! Good luck dredging and detecting this year.

Huge congrats! This find prompted me to research this plate and all roads lead to BANNER!

Turned out to be rarity 9 in Mullinax book. Relic Gods smiled on me.

Keith, thanks for posting the collection video. I want to finish telling the story of my Great Grandfather's Enfield rifle from Devils Den at Gettysburg . The gun was found by a family of relic hunters right after the battle on their farm. The family and their descendants kept the gun and many more relics just like we do. I was able to get the gun about fifteen years ago. It is all we have from John Columbus Deason. The relic hunters saved the history, they are the good guys and so are we.
