IMG_0803.JPGIMG_0809.JPGIMG_0807.JPG On Sunday, Sue and I spent just under three hours at an old ballfield. Clad finds for the day were 69 coins worth $12.59 and we each found silver....a 4.57 gram sterling silver ring for Sue and a 1942 Walker for me.

Great finds for you and Sue. I like finding those Walkers, (although its been over a year since I have found one).

Thanks Trezurehunter........don't feel bad, this was my first walker in 10 years !!!!

Whats the story behind that Walker? Deep, hidden, masked, faint signal, in the bushes? etc. How did that big honker presumably get missed all these years? I found one like that too, i pretty much figure i was in a virgin area as it was back by the tree line of a private catholic church playground, because it just rang up like a freight train for me so i figure it just had never been swung over.

It was four inches deep, not hidden or masked, the signal was loud and clear...a repeatable 92 on my AT Max, and in a wide open space. My guess as to how it was missed all these years is because though this spot had to be hunted in the past, no one put their coil over it.

Nice finds! Awesome to share the hobby finding cool things! :occasion14:

Don't remember last time i found a Walker.... Probably in the 70s.... Nice find!

The Walker was four inches deep and wasn't hidden or masked. The signal was clear, a steady 92 on my AT Max. Most likely missed because others who hit this field in the past just didn't pass the coil over the exact spot.

Congratulations to you two on the silver
The walker is still on my bucket list after a total combined 11 years of hunting.
