Jimmy D. & I took off to a town a ways away for a hunt late around 1:30. When We got there the First Lady We talked to gave Us permission and told Us that her yard and several others had been hunted, but not the old one across the street that had been there probably the longest and had not been hunted. She said to ask her nephew that owns it if We want to try and told Us where he lived.
We decided to hunt her yard first, and My very first signal was an 1895 Indian Head Penny!! Love it when That happens. I scored a couple Buffs and a few Wheats out of her yard and Jimmy got a Merc and a couple Buffs.
We went and asked her nephew and he gave Us permission also!!! We went to the old 2+ Story home across from her and I found another Indian and a couple Wheats. Jimmy found a Barber Dime, then another Merc! By this time I was thinking I may not hit a Silver today. As We switched to another part of the yard I got a V Nickel pretty deep. As We worked closer together I hit a nice 92-93-94. Popped the plug and I saw the back of a Merc. Yes!!! Got a Silver. He came over to look and he’s like there’s 2 in there!!! I was like hu? Sure enough there was a Merc and a Silver Rosie in the same hole!! Awesome!!! As we crossed and checked the others side I hit another sweet signal. I had him come back over and check it before I dug it. It sounded good on his too.
We can always miss targets. This way We try to make sure We get as much as possible during Our hunts. I dug it up and it was another Silver Rosie!!!
Pretty Stellar hunt for Us Both!!! We Both ended up with 3 Silvers and some Indians, Buffs and a V!! Included a ring that I also found that I forgot to put in My wrap up pics. Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!!!!!
