I made an awesome find sifting/metal detecting an old spot on Monday... one I would've never expected. I usually don't find Indian Artifacts, but I had a good feeling this one was something cool. I got some help on Facebook and Instagram and found out it most likely came from a pipe because all of the bears claws seem to be ripped off, as if they were attached to something. If anyone has an idea on the age, please let me know. Thanks for looking!

Thanks everyone! I seriously appreciate the comments. :)

That thing is 'Super Cool' & special.

congrats on the banner dude!

I don't see how I missed this post initially....before it made banner. Any Indian effigy is extremely hard to find, especially in perfect condition. Seen a lot of effigy pipes, but never a bear. Too cool! Glad it made banner! Now, see if you can find stuff like banner stones, pop-eyed bird stones, or a medicine man's eagle. They're out there to be found if you get lucky.

What a sweet find there....first I see of one of them! congrats!

very nice find

That thing is too neat man! And very rare to boot, Not a find to soon forget. Congratulations Isaac

Late to the party here but excellent find, Isaac!

That is a great find. I like your signature too. If you look at my post called May Finds i mention how your determination and the finding of the CSA belt plate inspired me to rehunt my hunted out place. My result was an 1836 half dime so thanks for the inspiration.
