Staying closer to home this weeknd produces gold, silver and other goodies

We stayed closer to home this weekend. For us this means less than 100miles one way. We detected places that we hit on a regular basis, on an occasional basis, and a couple that we have been to for several years. No one single place produced an abundance of finds but it seemed like every place produced something whether it was clad, silver jewelry or gold jewelry or some other interesting find. The last spot we were at tonight prodice my first gold pendant of the year 14k that is yellow,white and rose gold. No matter what I have ever found , the biggest rush I get is when I find relegious pendants.
Our totals for the weekend
Bobbie found $13.76 in clad, 10peso coin from Mexico, sterling silver heart, several pieces costume stuff.
I found $9.42 in clad, Columbian 20 pesos, a token with angels on it, 10k earring, sterling silver earring
14k rose, yellow and white gold Madonna pendant, and several pieces of junk jewelry .
I thought we were going to be able to sneak a road trip in this month but it now looks like Its going to be pushed to next month.
With next weeknds post Im going to post a pic of all the trash I have dug up over the last 2 monthes

Nana I start new detecting logs every year so while I have never totaled it up until today it was just a matter of going back through the gold logs. Since Bobbie and I started detecting together on September 8, 2001 through last weekend Bobbie had found245 pieces of gold and I have found 370. We have sold quite a bit but we wont sell high karat gold items or relegious items. Looks like we arent going to get to detect saturday as they are predictng 80% chance of rain.

That is incredible, Dave you and bobbie are the gold kings

I live in the midwest and I have a few questions that I think thaat eveyone would want to know please please help, I have never found gold and I need a little direction

1. Based on all your posts I see that you disc a little , do you dig any iron signals to find gold? do you dig alot of iron?

2. What is typically the depth for gold that you find, and what is the max depth you are willing to dig a signal.

3. Based on your posts you guys must dig pretty fast to recover that much clad in a day. Do you have any special tools or digging techniques that contribute to your sucess.

4. When going to a school or play ground , where do you start? do you detect the whole property or certain areas? What are the best areas?
