State Quarter error?????

Don't know about that, but I have a misprint South Carolina state quarter
that I am trying to get a price on. In God We Trust is not on the front.
And South Carolina is not on the back,
And part of the state bird and tree is missing on the back.
Does anyone know about this?

The Date isn't on the Front of Any State Quarters

The South Carolina quarter might be from a clogged die. When grease and metal get stuck in the die. I have a state quarter (don't remember what state) that on the reverse it is supposed to say CROSSROADS OF THE REVOLUTION but only the OADS from the word roads is visible.

There were several quarters make that had the state quarter front and the sacagawea reverse, but they were on quarter planchets.

Since the sacagawea is similar in size, your coin could be on that planchet.

post a scan for review.

As for the SC quarter, may be a brokerage, could be worth some good money. Post a pic and let us see it.

I sorted and rolled several thousands of dollars in Quarters from The Salvation Army Christmas kettles this year.I noticed that there were a goodly number of State Quarters with a decidedly golden hue however they did not have the same appearance as the Sacagawea dollar. The quarters had more of the appearance of a chemical coloration than a different alloy.

By the way ,I only found two of the quarters that were silver.
