I got out for a little while on my dinner break and was goofing off hunting behind the job site.found a dime and a couple of pennies nothing old.Then I got a pretty deep signal and dug this badge.I first thought it might be a kids badge.Took and brushed it off and seen the special police on it.I scratched the back of it a little trying to get it out of the hole.was trying to hurry only get 30 min break.To bad the one point is bent back on the bottom,but you get what ya get.I got to looking it up and found one like it,recon they used them in the 1920s till 1940.Now I don't really know if that's right or not.Haven't really had time yet to really check it out.Maybe later I can get more info on it.THANKS FOR PEEKING.

I strongly suggest checking a badge collectors forum. Badges are a faked/reproduced/copied all the time. Cool find real or not! HH

I have no doubt that badge is the real deal and a killer find! Worth being a center piece of a frame of relics. JMO.

Thanks buddy.That platform pipe you found is way awesome.my great unkle got me into Indian artifacts when I was a little bitty feller.Him and Ben Hampton the artists use to hunting all the time together.I learned a lot from them.congrats buddy.

The platform pipe is the best artifact that I have ever found in 30+ years of hunting. I doubt that I will ever top it. But.... who knows, I'm still looking.

I found one a couple years ago here in Pueblo,CO. Not sure which police agency was represented, but Bat Masterson was the sherifff here in the 1890's.
