A first for me today, Spanish silver! 1721 Two Reales/Pistareen found at an old farm in a cornfield. Was about 4 inches down.

That looks like a high quality counterfeit to me. It appears there is a veneer of silver over a core of some other metal.

I don't plan to have it authenticated so I suppose that's possible. The place where I found it has been a farm for over 300 years, so I'm leaning toward it being real (or Reale...get it? :) )
 

Check around for the missing peaces. Cant be far away.

Thanks, i tried that, went all around that spot, didn't find anything else.
