Needed to get out today after being a shut-in yesterday due to the weather. Tried a new site first that I had researched that was very promising, but could not find the hotspot. Drove by to check out another site but the soybeans had still not been cut. So I ended up going back to the place where I dug a block I button and a 3 cent nickel a week or 2 ago. This site hasn't been providing much in the way of quantity, but it definitely came through with quality again today. After running lines for a while and not finding much, I just took off and roamed a fair distance from the house site. The detector was quiet as a mouse for about 10 min before I got a nice, deep tone. I was hoping for a button instead of a piece of junk, but was rather surprised when this nice looking 1782 half reale revealed itself. It was only my 2nd colonial silver of the season, but maybe this will get my game jump-started. Also eyeballed a nice arrowhead. I'm about done with this site, but at least I was able to finish it off in good fashion.
