Me, Weaver, and my buddy Jd got out Sunday for the first time in a long time, our other
buddy Armstrong was playing in his band and couldn't make it.
I thought I had a new hot spot to go to but either me or the old map were screwed up, we did
end up finding a yet unknown site to us that had two large chimneys still standing.
We really thought we were on to something, but after just a little while we realized this place
was as trashed up as any we had ever hunted. And then to top this off it had that spongy
ground with mole holes everywhere, stuff was dropping down to the devil while you were
trying to dig it.
We were finding memorials at 5 to 7 inches deep. We decided to go back to one of our old hot
spots, I didn't have very high hopes for this place because it had been hunted a few times by
us along with HB & BB hunting it before we were on to it.
Anyway, it was some hard az hunting, corn stubble and signals were as scarce as hens teeth.
I ended up finding the Indian head and Weaver found the Spanish Silver.
Poor ole Jd didn't find anything but old trash. Me and Weaver were complaining to each other
about what a sorry hunt this turned out to be, then it dawned on me that we had had a lot
more that were a lot worse.
Like a lot of things this hunt got sweeter with time, (as soon as I checked my blackbook)
This is the best hobby in the whole world, good luck to all of you. Deno
