Hi All,

I was hunting a plowed corn field near my home when I got a nice signal on my XLT. I looked down and saw the edge of a silver coin and picked up the first of 8 coins I would find in this small area in the middle of the field. It took me about 5 hunts(about 8 hours) to get them all. They were in the area of about 200 x 50 feet dating from 1708 to 1762. There were 4 2-reales and 4 one-reales. That without a doubt was the best few hunts of my life. I found these coins about 3 years ago and the same fields are still giving up good coins!!!

Thanks for looking,

Brian

Hi Brian,

I live in Colchester on the East Haddam town line. Where abouts have you hunted in Colchester - so I know not to bother. Beautiful coins you found...I couldn't get anything older than 1950 today!

maybe they were in someones coin purse and they lost it and over the years the various farm activities spreads them about. anyway great finds

Congratulations on the great find. You have sharpened your skills and have become one with the detector i see.

Super Sweet Silver indeed! Congrats! Welcome to TNet, Brian.
