This is all very interesting stuff to learn about. This is a bteeter picture of the reverse side of the coin. hope this helps solve the mystery.

I do beleive it to be real and not a fake coin, it is in excellent condition.

You may wish to take the coin out of the bezel and rephotograph the shield side since outside the shield the mint mark and/or the assayer's mark might then be disclosed.
