Got out yesterday for a while to an old farm house\schoolhouse. The landowner said that it had been hit yrs ago but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway! Well, whoever was there before me wasnt very good at their game because it was "target rich"! Lots of brass and wheatys, couple nickels etc.. Two gold plated rings which is a surprise for a site like this, (both had me going at first) but I couldn't seem to break the 19th century. Then some flats and what i thought at first was a "dandy" but no post on it!? Thought maybe it was a really worn LC but it was to thin... Said to myself, well what ever it is it's toast so a little rub wont hurt and then I could see a little bit of a profile! Hmmm... Thought maybe it was older than a KG so I left it alone. I went back to swinging and in my head I realized the profile was "Carolus" so I ask you now, Spanish copper or counterfeit realle? Also can any one spot a date on the one close up? I can see the profile and the crown but not much more! HH, DAN.
