I can see a 7 below the cross so it may be 167? Worn and clipped but you may get a date yet! LUCKY DOG!

Its a 1670s Potosi, Bolivia 1 reale cob. That much is almost certain. A cleaning will likely reveal the last digit of the date below the cross. Not quite sure but looks like a 1675 so far.

I knew it, a nice early site. Being worn again & in the late 1600s, I think the site seems to be around the 1700 mark, but keep digging & who knows! CONGRATS, specially on finding the site.
