Almost didn't go today but Mom shot me a text and instead of working out in the garage seperating E-Scrap decided to take advantage of a somewhat good weather day. Hit the fields around 11ish and began working a hard hit area for anything missed. Wound up doing a lot of walking and finding some buttons here and there. Really had to slow it down and the buttons keep getting smaller Had a great day on silver. Found a nice 1 Real in an area that produced several. My next silver was a biggun. Solid 94 on the T2 I did not have high hopes of a coin but rather a nice piece of can. But it ended up being that big old 1917S Walker Half. My third "silver" came at the end of the day. Thought it was a seated quarter until i say ONE DIME on the back It is as big as a Nickle as you can see in the 2nd photo its the same size but when you drop it , it sounds like tin or lead. Its a big old mongoloid fake 1852 seated dime! Very cool. Ended up with around 16 buttons. One button in particular caught my eye immediately. BIg US on the front with an eagle. My very first Great Coat button. Back mark is United States. Also pictured are shoe buckle frags and an ancient fishing rod guide. Also found another solid cast button in the nipple button field. Another great day the fields are still alive! Until next time.
