I am wanting to go take a try at beach prospecting in Southern Oregon. I have been to Whisky Run and Cut Creek once before. I plan on using my gold cube for this. Any info on good areas or where to look ( I usually just scrape the top 1-3 inches of black sand I find). I usually go to the local Rivers and creek so this is fairly new to me.

What about Gold Beach near the Cakifornia -Oregon border?

Nesika Beach about 5-10 miles North of Gold Beach I was told was a good beach by local prospector's through a local website. I had heard it was North. But how far & where I didn't know.

I went, there were about 20-30 colors per test pan. I ran My gold cube for about 4 1/2 hours. I'm still going through concentrate. But I've already gotten enough gold to cover the bottom of a short half ounce vial. But I've only gone through 25-30% of the concentrate. A old timer there told me anywhere where a creek, stream enters the ocean is a good starting point for finding beach gold.
