But what is this? I have this on video. In one instance it uses it fins like legs to walk along the sea floor and then uses it fins more like fins to swim.

Really?

I always enjoy seeing them, as they are beautiful in the water, and fun to photograph.
Always was careful near them, as you don't want to be punctured by their spines.
I think that I will stick to something a little exotic to eat.

Just out of curiosity, where it that they are munched on.
The only ones I have seen are in the Sandwich Islands.

No... it's not.

Lion fish are pretty good to eat. You have to clip the 'feathers' off with scissors and then clean like a regular fish. Flaky white meat.

That is a question, which can only be answered by the creator.
I believe that diverse would be the proper terminology, rather than weird, or spooky.

Dangerous would be a better word to describe humans, as they have the tendency
to club things to death when in doubt, or just for the joy of killing.

I don't know if they're dangerous but sea robins sure look like they aught to be. :laughing7:
I mean who would create something that looked like that without making it dangerous? :icon_scratch:

They are beautiful, but they are also destroying the reef ecosystems. They have no predators in Caribbean waters and are destroying the native fish species. They should all be destroyed (although this is impossible now)

Wow:
Kinda reminds me of the "Thing" - the disembodied hand in the Adams Family.

I would most likely choke on my snorkel, if I saw something like that.
If it keeps developing, Who knows it may be able to walk out of water to get to the other side of the road.
May even learn to hitch hike.

One thing for sure, if it turns out to be a Robbin,
you will never have to worry about it sitting on a window sill to sing the comming morn!

Bat fish!? LOL! Is that what ya'll call them things out there?
I'd call that a freakin frog fish! :laughing7:
Them things even freakier than the alien fish we catch at the Boca Grande pass! :icon_scratch:

What are the alien fish?

Thanks I guess the video made a difference?
Yeah, I could tell from the video it wasn't a sea robin. I did an image search of walking fish and that's when I saw the bat fish.
