When I saw this in the mud, my heart skipped more than a beat.
And after cleaning it off, I realized it was not meant to be. . . oh well :'(

A semi groovy ring is better than no ring at all. Sure gives ya a rush when you first see it tho, dont it?

Even though you know the big rocks are likely fake, you can't help having a nitro moment. Part of what makes this an exciting hobby.

I would of thought the same thing, better luck next time :icon_thumright: . It's amazing how many thoughts go through your head when you first pick up a find like that.

"after cleaning it off, I realized it was not meant to be...Yet"

Still a cool find! I put stuff like that in the kids detecting pit. You'd swear they found the real thing when they dig em out.

Still a few very cool looking ring and I would have thought the same :icon_thumright:

That really stinks. I know the feeling. I have found a couple of gold rings that weren't real. oh well neat find!

That like my first gold pull tab....until i uncovered it more... that when I real lies ed I been had....

A shattered dream, then we sometimes question the real deal, LOL! I once found a nice gold ring with 11 diamonds, thought it was fake and junk, curiosity got me so I had it tested, an unusual 12K gold band with 11 real diamonds and the diamonds are much larger than chips. My Maw in law got that ring and now she doesn't give me much crap about detecting, LOL. HH, Mike

My mother-in-law has a nice 14K with 19 diamonds that I found on my honeymoon. The ring cost me nothing and has been paying dividends ever since...lol.

Too bad about this ring but still have it check if you have not done so already.
