I like to Garage Sale with $2 bills. It's quirky and fun. People will do a $5 item for $2, if you pay with a $2 bill. I go to the bank once every 6 or 8 weeks to buy a stack of 100 bills. I went in and the first bill on the stack had the serial number 22223301, crisp 2013... YEAH... I go through, pull out 22223333 and list that sucker on Ebay. I guess there are people who collect those things, I sold it for $15.50 plus shipping. So today I pulled 22223303, 22223313, 22223322 and so on. I've got the listings all set up and I'll list maybe 3 or 4 a week for the next few weeks... $5 plus shipping starting bid.

Just goes to show that they'll still buy anything.

I love those serial numbers! For me, too much effort to list a 2 dollar bill and sell it for 15. 10 bucks after fees etc. I'd still spend it at a yard sale or fast food and make someone happy with it in person. Haha

They are fun for yard sales, people will say, they are so rare! And usually take them. As you have 60 of them in your pocket! The kids love them too.

I once sold a $1 bill with the serial number 00000076 for $77 on eBay. It was a beat up bill too. I always check the serial numbers on my bills. Just the other day I found another beat up dollar bill with the serial number 55550555. I am still trying to decide if i want to keep it myself or sell it somewhere.

I copy and pasted the title, Changed the serial number, took a picture and saved it. Then I copy and pasted an generic description. The title sells these. I did up about 20 auctions during a quarter of a football game. If I can do 20 and net $200, I'm ok...

The ones that sell the most are low serial number (1,2, or 3 digits), star notes of low production, and some sort of pattern (radar, repeater, or lucky numbers).

A lot that you think people would want don't sell, unfortunately.
