Well, it has been a while since I have had time to search for arrowheads. Today I went out for about an hour and searched in a creek. I have always had a habit of picking up unusually shaped or odd colored rocks and taking them home; I have bags and bags of rocks. Well today my habit got the best of me again, and I brought a few home. One of them sticks out from the rest however; it has what looks like a P stamped on it. It is not metal. It feels just like a rock, and it is broken off of something, but I don't know what it could be. Any ideas?

I have more pictures, so if something is unclear or blurry, just ask.

hello Marie!! though Tnet had lost you! i would have picked up and kept that piece my self interesting piece i though it was cast iron, part of a early heating stove. but not sure of magnet...what happend to your trip home and hunt while there? Terry

The raised sections of the stone are parts of the rock that are denser than the rest and therefore don't erode as quickly leaving those markings. It is just a natural piece of creek rock. I would bet you could go back to the same area and find other rocks with similar designs on them.
