You know fellas I feel as you. Respect is to be given to the dead, of all peoples. To purposly desecrate a burial area is disgusting. The one thing we should all remember and not forget is that with almost all prehistoric americans, the dead were placed below where the living resided. After several thousand years not much remains of a human skeleton in the earth. Even in the Texas pecan bottems along many of the rivers I hunt, any bones around montell or castorville age are non existant. Sometimes you see larger Bison joints and such, but the average bone from anything smaller than that has been reclaimed by the earth completely.
With the advent of more organized indian societies in the last 1000 years some dead were placed in specific places for internment. Hence the mounds and some of the known cemetaries. I would no sooner hunt there than a modern graveyard.. Gives me the willies just thinking about it. Have a good week. Lone Star
