My thought was a napkin ring that was why I asked for a size reference.I am a big man and I can wear something like that. It might have been some type of memento.

I am just throwing things out as there are a lot of guys that specialize in different fields, per se if you wanted artillery from the civil war Cannonballguy is the man for that or so many others, as a lot of guys are savvy as all get out in different things and there are other amazing guys out there such as NHBENZ,Dc Matt are guys that come to mind if it was a ring maybe only jewelry guys are who's looking, there are all kinds of guys who know there stuff on that maybe re-post with a title that isn't so definitive as calling it a ring maybe generalize it as WW2 possible item maybe a sword piece taken in battle to honor, or ring, memento, so maybe more people will check it out but I would preface the post as something you may have already looked at but you are generalizing the post to bring in more people who may have passed by because it wasn't their specialty.I know I use this forum as a learning tool as well as trying to help I.D. Just a thought, also they will ask a lot of the same questions.size, where found which I know you provided. but I have noticed some people won't completely read the original post.I think part of that is they are researching and got absorbed in what they are doing.I am not saying these members mentioned are the only people who will know, but I am thinking it might help with I.D.ing if more people are looking
