Oh please don't get me started on crazy drivers! I live in Mass we have it cornered! I have witnessed some unbelievable things on the road.

Back to just stupid: there's one born every minute, it's what the market will bear, to the winner goes the spoils, and buyer beware! The ability to think for ourselves is a lost art now days, if you still can, God bless you! You'll be ok!

If we could harness methane gas there would be no need for oil.

Oh how bout the customer who brought back the battery she had bought. Said it was no good, her car wouldn't start with it.
Had to explain that it is necessary to remove the protective caps off of the battery posts before installing the terminals...


and it's not just silver that brings out the Inner Moron. One of my co workers was looking for a place to rent last week. His wife found a furnished place on Craigs List. Yep Craigs List. STRIKE 1
She met with the owners at the house and handed them $900.00 CASH, for a deposit. STRIKE 2
Was given the keys to the place and told she could move in the next day.

Come the next day they show up and meet the real owner, who still lives there. STRIKE 3, they're out of there. Did not pass go did not collect $200.00.

Cops told them they can pretty much kiss that money goodbye.

In NH (where I live) everyone fears Mass drivers lol.
 

Well, talk about just total idiots: I was working at a place that sold butane and propane. We had some bob-tail trucks for delivery. One afternoon a lady came to the terminal in the family car. Her husband drove a pickup, being a farmer. He had several tractors, one that ran on propane. This woman said her husband told her to come tell us that he needed them to come out and fill his tractor, that he ran out of fuel out in a field that about 5 miles from his tank. She said that since he was needing it so quickly, and not knowing how long it would be before we could get a truck out there, she wanted to take some back to him. She opened the truck of the car and had 4 5-gallon buckets in the back. I told her that I couldn't put propane into the buckets. She told me that she didn't see why not. I told her that propane wouldn't stay in a bucket, that it had to be under pressure or it would vaporize and be just a gas. She knew I hadn't been working there long and didn't believe me. So I had to let her talk to the owner and let him explain it to her. She left mad because she thought we were lying to her. She wasn't just a young dumb woman. She was in her late 50s and had been married to her farming husband for many years. Don't know why she was so dumb.
Later her husband called us and apologized for her 'stupidity' as he put it. Yep, he was right!

So I live in Florida... my mom was living in New Mexico. I wanted to ship her some oranges from a company that does that sort of thing.

It was the season, and that would be a nice treat, Indian River fruit...

I give the shipping address to the young college girl working the counter. She looked at me and said, "I'm sorry sir, we can't ship fruit out of the country."

It's not, it's New Mexico...

"No sir, I can't ship to Mexico either."

But its out west, next to Arizona. New Mexico, it's a state.

"I still can't ship fruit out of the country."

Back and forth we went until a manager (my age) showed up. He couldn't get her to understand New Mexico is a US state... he sighed and handled the order for me sending her on a break.

GIB- this is what our colleges are producing now days! They learn nothing and can't think for themselves!

Yes, the blame for all of society's woes lies strictly with the colleges... "Rolls eyes".

And one time I told a stupid kid who wrote entirely in junior-high phone text slang that he should actually write in real sentences and people here (mods included) jumped on me like wolves on an infant. Yet later on these same people are complaining about others writing, so go figure.
