On that Folsom, do you know what caused that extra little divot on the flute, was there an internal fracture or was it something that occurred when thinning where it kinda separated and then came all the way off with the flute… or just coincidence?
I see what you’re talking about. I’m not sure what happened there.🤷🏼 After I cooked that Yellowstone agate it was super glossy and easy to flake. It was almost too fragile like obsidian. I’ll have to get it back out and look at it again.
 

Gary (ToddsPoint) have you ever thought of teaching a class on the art of Knapping and working these different types of materials ? I think with your knowledge / skill you would have some great turn outs ! I for one !

I taught a local guy how to knap. I’m far too busy to teach a class. A knapper friend, Tim Dillard, teaches classes. He’s in W IL somewhere. I saw an ad for his classes not long ago. He knaps all abo and is definitely an expert.
