I promised to dig out a few uniface tools so here we go. No glamor but good study items. I'll add as I get time.

First one is a big white strike with retouch all around. A closer look at a more recent ding shows it is actual a creamy caramel chert under the that heavy patina.

Well that pic sucks. Here is one more. It seems I'm having camera problems. I'll try again later.

Nice. And thanks. It would be great if you'd note what level these came from (ore-Clovis/Clovis/post-Clovis).

Nice examples. I assume age is deduced from association with more easily dated pieces like paleo point types. The form of the two scrapers shown are pretty universal, imho. Or am I missing something specific about these?

Every tool I post in this thread are from the deepest layers of my site. Most show Clovis characteristics but I wont assign a culture other than paleo.

One more. This one is odd. Quality work on the top side but flat on the other. Almost like a super thick flute flake. Nice nose scraper on it.

Awesome collection. All really interesting examples.

Paleo tools are kinda like collard greens...they are an acquired taste and not everyone will enjoy them. Some folks love them though.
