Very Nice ! You know ,I'm a bit surprised at how few silver Kennedy halves (including 40%ers) show up in the dug up silvers on
this site - I've only found one , but I've dug two Walkers -go figure !

I never thought of that but your right. I've dug a few barbers a bunch of walkers but only 2 Kennedy halves in 13 years

Thanks

I imagine that by 1965 the metal detectors started to get much better than the 50's models. 40% coins were surface finds at the time and quickly scooped up. Coins at 3-4 inches were still iffy and often left as trash or not heard at all. I think that as technology increases we will still continue to find the oldies but the mid to late 1900's are all gone in public or "easy" access places.

i would never advocate that anyplace is "Hunted Out". I love hunted out places. They allow me to slow down and listen without fear of competition. LOL

I just think that it is possible that almost an entire era is gone from public places. I dig much more mercs and barbers from public parks than I dig rosies.

Nice finds, & I agree with both of you also. I have dug 10 Walking Liberty Halves & only 1- 40% Kennedy. I have yet to pull a Franklin or Barber. Guess they are still on my bucket list.

Nce finds there you did great! I have found around 9 walking liberty halves and one barber halve but have never found a Franklin yet, oh and yes one of those late 60s Kennedy and one clad Kennedy too.
