OK, the reason I posted these are to see if others find as big of pieces of Flint/Chert as I have. I'm not familiar with the different colors from Flint Ridge, or if this is local, so I thot others might be able to identify what kind it is.
Notice the pock marks on the top (and bottom) of the first and last pic. The 2nd one is an irregular shaped piece and the last 2 together have many many marks on them like maybe they were used as an anvil. Or were these pieces too irregular to use any further?
I should have used a ruler as a reference but forgot to. The 1st one has to weigh 30-40#'s. 2nd one about 25#'s. and the last 2 are 6 and 8#'s.
