Hi friends, hope you all are well.

John found some goodies the other day, including the tiniest buckle in the world, ha ha. Also a 1902 "V" nickel, a larger brass buckle, a couple of buttons, and a gorgeous pineapple decorative piece with what looks like clip on the back, as if it was worn by someone or something. Any thoughts on that? We love the design! It appears to be brass.

Best wishes and thanks for looking. -Lisa & John

They have NEVER posted anything that would lead me to the belief that something wasn't dug. And if they were going to my guess would be that a more modern nickel wouldnt be the choice.
Lisa and John that's another nice group of finds and a killer shoe buckle that is basically complete. Keep those good finds coming. That's a hell of a property you have. Coins come out in lots of different conditions depending upon the soil and the area dug....time in the dirt and the duration of circulation. Don't ever stop posting your finds because somebody may believe it's not dug. I dug this farthing and I'm sure some people believed it wasn't dug.

But it was and that's all that matters.

Abe, thanks so much for your support. That is one amazing farthing! Ours are usually toast. -L&J

Thanks, J! It's a bit worn, but we'll take it! -L&J

Thanks, Rubka! It's pot luck--some of the copper as we pull out of the farm pasture are very toasty, but some coins that we pull out near the outbuildings are super nice. Who knows, we'll take it! -L&J

That V nickel is crazy shiny! Great finds!

Nice suspender clip, and it is unusual to see nickels come out like that, but I can recall one place where I dug several V nickels that looked like that.

Thanks, Steve! Now if we could only find an old copper in that condition! -L&J
