Being so new to this great hobby, I haven't many finds nor are they anywhere near the quality of the fantastic treasures I have seen in this forum. Let me say that I am in awe of YOUR awesome talents in reseach, handling, cleaning, and skill with your machines.
Kudos to you all.

Here is a small cache of foreign coinage, I had found 2 Canadian Loonies, (2) 1 Franc french and a couple of coins from Kuwait, not all the listed coinage is represented in this pic:

I have some more, I'll check in with later. Namely an 1870 IHC, an 1886 IHC (really pretty sweet) and an 1890 IHC, all found in my garden of all places. The 1870 was a wildcard while tilling it for planting ??? Like I said, I am almost too embarassed to post my meager offerings.

Pics are a bit small, I will fix that in forthcoming posts, sorry guys.

Thanks Jake, but some of the coins and relics these guys find are just incredible! I'd crap my pants if I ever found a V nick or a Walker half!

Im sure you will find a V nickel sooner or later, they arent THAT rare...i found mine within a few months of starting in my nieghbors field not more than 40 feet from my driveway.

Jleland,

You mentioned that you were new to the hobby; the finds will keep coming.

;D Jleland tell me you haven't seen some sad stuff for finds on here? You find what you find...most everyone on here is supportive of whatever you find! This forum is the great place it is, because of the people, they are here for you all the way ...through good and bad finds!? ;D They help you feel like, you can go out there and find what you know is out there , after a day of finding nothing but crap! LOL right now I feel like I found one good thing and (returned it) it will be forever till I find another! ( Everywhere I go I either find grass so darn thick I can't get through it , or I don't feel I'm up to digging and leaving it looking good enough yet!? Ughhhhhh.....!!!? :P )? But? it just means I will keep reading the tips on here and watching and working on stuff ...till I get out there and find the GOLD!? ;D :D ;D ;) So post we all want to know were not the only one finding crap! LOL? ?::)? ;D? ;)
P.S
Could you make you pics a bit bigger so some of us blind folks can see it better? And heck coins and clad are ALL GOOD!!! You did good!
Happy Hunting!

If you are that new and have already found 3 IHs all you need to do is get your coil near someting really good to find it. My 3 little ole IHs came by the hard way. No telling how many I've missed.

A lot of times we drive past friends houses or places we have connections with and forget, I could hunt there. Maybe this weekend is your weekend. I go thru dry spells and can't find anything but maybe one Wheatie, the next day I have actually hunted the same yard and found 6 wheats in the same hole. Another time my girlfriends kid found a wheat, a merc and a rosie in the same hole in areas I know I got very close to but just didn't quite get close enough.

Next year you are going to have a wonderful collection..... count on it.

P.S. sometimes things arent where they are supposed to be, I found my only shield nickel 67 w/rays near a football field that wasn't there in 1867 or 1880 for that matter. I found my first barber dime a couple weeks ago. 1899. I can't come up with any logical explaination for it being where it was.

My Lord Crutch, a barber dime! I just soiled myself. I sure hope you're right. You folks have been so supportive, now leave it to me to spoil it all by not finding anything.

indian heads are not meager finds! thats awesome! you already broke the century mark as well. id say you are doing great! i know what you mean about things turning up in odd places crutch......just a few weeks ago i found an 1850 large cent smack dab in the middle of a high school soccer field! in the mid 19th century it had been a farm! i need to return and hit the spot in all metal mode to see if i can find some square nails or other evidence of a structure once being there. i hit the field rather quickly since i didnt really expect anything old to be there, maybe i need to go back and hunt it again more slowly.
