Also found another early 1900s toy gun, 2 more bottles, an old rifle shell, some assorted hardware, and what I believe to be a top from an old fruit/mason jar?

I found a pair of the exact same gun in a lake almost side by side. I am thinking the holsters were attached but rotted away. You can see them on the second row, 1st and 4th. No idea when they were made. I never cleaned them.

Silver thimble is awesome. I don't think that round thing is a top to a jar. Never saw one with three points sticking out of it.

Finding a silver thimble is high up on my bucket list....yours is a beauty! Congrats!

You guys have some great finds there Thanks again for sharing those!!!!!

Use my iphone6 to take all of my photos Silvermonkey. I then edit them accordingly. It does take good photos.

Nice work Mosh, I like the little anchor on the thimble, I wonder what that is all about?

Interesting for sure. I haven't seen anything like it and since it was attached to a jar that is also strange. Now you have me wondering how and why it was used! Thanks

It's an old strainer frame for canning..

Here is an example of a current one.

I believe the anchor( fouled Anchor ) is the jewelers hallmark.. Stern Bros, NY.

Best guess.
