SOLVED - XX - C - A - R / 4857 / CO. - Need ID

A friend talked about a belt buckle for me to help him identify and sent me this picture. However, like Don already mentioned that it looks more like a company id badge. Can't get back to him as he is out of town till the middle of next week. I guess I listed it prematurely. Sorry about that. Item is about 2" x 4", not marked other than what is engraved on the front. What does C A R stand for & where is it from, appreciate any help.

SOLVED in 4 hours: Civil War Reenactment Belt Buckle C.A.R. 4857 Co.
