✅ SOLVED Solved Found by an old saw mill site:

I know it is a battery (I thought it was a battery, but I just learned it is a capacitor), but I was wondering what kind and how old? I don't think it was a really old saw mill, probably one that closed in the 1950's,

I found some other things as well, some of these like the bridal piece were just things I finally cleaned up and were just in the photo group.

Comments on any of it is always appreciated!

Yes its hard to read. I see MADE IN USA. I think I see 370 VAC. Its mostly part numbers. I think I see 410 V... The latest pics show clearly the casing is broken bad so there is no danger just toss it in the trash.

As far as I remember PCB fluid is oily and I dont see any.

I appreciate all of you on the forum helping me out, you are the real sport! Thanks again, and I found the information interesting and I learned a lot of new stuff!

I did a little research and I guess a large capacitor could be used in a large microwave like cw0909 said. So I learned something.

Only pre 1979 caps had PCB oil. I dont know how old microwaves are. Here is a guide on PCB disposal but it doesnt matter it would have leaked out anyway and my guess is still A/C. http://www.ct.gov/dep/cwp/view.asp?a=2710&depNav_GID=1638&q=324258

bigc, i have never seen a motor run capacitor with only 2 terminals,on the + -
in that type of housing,ive seen quite a few 2 terminals in microwaves thats
why i went with, microwave capacitor,the 1st microwave,i had ever seen was
in 69,and i wouldnt eat the food that it cooked, LOL,ive since mastered it and
now,i can get the leftovers,just right LOL

You may be right. I cant remember back that far but 2 terminals is really all that is needed even today for an A/C condenser fan motor run capacitor. Refer back to A/C pic reply 16. (2 wires on + side and 1 wire on neg side)

The type with the specifications stamped on the side I remember and red marking probably goes back at least to the 70's if this helps any.. I dont work on microwaves but A/C tech since 70's.
