Look under the category..."WHAT IS IT"

It's 10 or so posts below yours...
I looked, but I don't know why or what it has to do with my items, if I looked at the right one it was a lead bullet. I don't get the point of reference between the two; but then again I have been known to be a little slow at times! LOL I did get on the forum with the axe diagram, that was awesome, thanks to you and kuger.

The CW axe topic found under "What It Is" contains the axe diagram I mentioned...

#7 looks like a wood keg barrel ring.

Re: Cast Iron Tools I think????

Item #4 is a door lock plate. The round hole is where the door knob was, and then there's the key hole. I'd guess it to be from the early 1900's.

coinmaster: good catch on a door plate, the one picture shows the place for the key, I did not notice that! Another small mystery solved!!!! :headbang:

I have found several tools but don't have a clue as to how to identify the age of them, so if you could please look and give me your thoughts I would really appreciate it!

#4 in the first pic looks like an old Forester's Diameter Tape. Worn on a belt. We still use them today.
Not for sure but you can google them up easily. Foresters D Tape.

The first Foresters in the US came to this country from Germany to assist C Vanderbilt in Reforesting his NC estate. Biltmore in Asheville, NC. Considered the "cradle of American Forestry"

Of course, you know that #4 is a door knob plate.

#7 looks like a band ring for the wooden hub on a wooden wagon wheel.

Hi clovis97, thank you for replying. I did know about #4 but good thought on #7! Thanks again!
