All Treasure Hunting
I was at my local bank today on some business and decided to see if I could buy a box of pennies. As I looked across the counter I noticed a stack of Ike dollars next to the cashier tray. Obviously all clad from the rims, and casually asked the teller if he gets many of those in. He said not usually, but yesterday some old guy brought in hundreds of 'em, said he was tired of holding on to them.

Buy them all or pass?

Buy them all...worst case scenario you pay face value...best case scenario they are all Morgan Dollars!

All I saw was that stack of probably 20 maybe on the counter. I don't know where all the rest were, probably the vault. I sure wish I could look through them. I don't do ebay anymore, so that's out.

Buy those things. Look for the 1972 type that is worth more cash. you could also find some silver Ikes, or who knows a morgan. At the worst play poker with them.

BUY THEM ALL

I buy 'em whenever I can find them, which isn't too often. I like to see the look on people's faces when I spend 'em one at convenience stores. Some think they have a million dollar collectors item and others have never seen one and think it's a fake coin.

Always buy them all , worst case scenario is you take em to a dump bank. I have been able to get more then face for them but its not worth the effort for me .

Buy em, I get a kick out of spending them. Who knows might be a keeper or two in the bunch. In the end you are not going to take a loss, money is money.

Picked up $200 in Ikes. Didn't find anything spectacular. I'm thinking about putting them on eBay in two $100 lots. Don't know if its worth the effort though. May just dump them at a bank.

Some bank's coin counters don't take ikes.. May be a hassle to dump. Try some LCS, they may pay like $1.05 each for them or something.. mine pays $1.15 for them..

Mine pays face and sells for 1.25.
