jewelerguy , That's good reasoning ! I realized right after I wrote my remarks about so few silver Kennedy halves being dug - that
unlike the Franklin, Walker , and Barber half dollar series , the Kennedy only ran for 1964 in 90% silver - and in 40% silver for 1965-70
(circulation was only 65-69). While the mintage numbers were massive for these few years , Kennedy's untimely death caused an
unusually high number of these half dollars to be saved - rather than circulating .

Nice find BH Girl! WTG!

Congrats on a big silver. I bet your heart was pounding when you saw that!

Nice score ! .. I always love hitting around tree's I think its awesome how the tree roots tend to push some good relics right up towards the surface ... And again great score ! Oh and you should keep checking craigslist some times you find some great deals on metal detectors on there I got my at pro for 400 it was only used a few times...

Ha ha, good for you, I would of loved to have seen your face when you pulled that out of the ground! I found a Susan B Anthony dollar, 1980, so it is clad. I was so excited that day. Man I love digging this stuff, I hope I find one of those Kennedy's.

Right since I'm used to silver dimes... :-D :-D well actually mostly clad dimes but you know what I mean..
