I went back to the school ground that gave up my last diamond ring. Wasn't expecting anything
but clad and that's pretty much what I got.

See?!? :)

Funny thing happened though. there was this guy walking his dog. The dog
had more manners than the owner. :dontknow:

This guy decided to help me out. Even though he stayed some 100 yards away from he
shouted out, "YOU'RE WASTING YOUR TIME!!!!"

Don'tcha just hate that!?!? :(

Anyway, I just ignored him and just pretended that earphones protected me. LOL
But, I noticed that his dog must've just LOVED that ONE tree! He stayed right there with
his master, watching me. I'm sure it was just because the dog hadn't been walked for a week. ;) LOL

I'm sure it had NOTHING to do with my bending down and digging just about every 5 mins! I bet he was just
beside himself on whether he should actually come over and see just what it was I was digging up all that time! LOL

Actually, Blingie's new shiny-shiny came out on the dig immediately after this moron's yell. :)

Not much in finds but I still enjoyed getting out. Ain't it funny how the Lord works? ;)

Thanks for peeking!

Well, in the beginning, I had to get past what people thought of me . Then I had to go to war with people who didn't want me digging in THEIR park. Today, because of persistence, we have 162 parks in NYC that we have permission to swing a coil in.
After all these years, I refuse to empower ignorant people by letting them think that their opinion or silly comments are important. Education before Confrontation, has been the approach that The Task Force has used over the years to make tremendous strides for our hobby. Some people just don't understand what many of us are doing and/or perceive our activity as a nuisance. That's their problem.

And I thank you for the work you did! I too have been a pretty good emissary for our hobby for almost a half century now. You begin to be able to tell the ones that might need a lil convincing. Some, well, you know. I was picking up trash AND coins. He was picking up poop! Nuff said? ;)

I'm curious now....was he wearing a pair of ground penetrating radar glasses?
How else would he know to tell you it's a waste of your time?

Well I'm glad you have positive "proof" that it is well worth your time to dig there. :D

Funny story......About 15 years ago we had this guy walk by us, (with his little dog TOTO), and asked if we were "Lookin' for gold", as he snickered. I came right back with...."Nope.....Lookin' for Jimmy Hoffa.....Ya seen him??" Jackass.

NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK , BLINGIE AND FISHY DISCUSSING THE FINDS . NICE....

maybe if I wore one of these the heckling will stop...

Here's a true story: I was water hunting one day and the kids just wouldn't leave me alone. So when I got asked what was I looking for? I answered up, "Looking for radiation."

Zoom!! Everybody left!! LOL

I've always thought about getting a jacket with "bomb squad" printed on it for detecting. :D
