Snakes and Turtles, Oh My - possible pansy alert

I wouldnt worry about the alligator snappers, they only get to about 200 - 250 pounds.Big enough and heavy enough to kill you, most likely by drowning if a big one grabs you, unless you bleed to death by one taking your hand off.Take a friend.

I'm just worried about snakes here but I think they have pants to prevent snake bites

HI Dave44; Have you ever walked on water ??? :icon_scratch: I will if they ever come near me. !! PEACE:RONB :dontknow:

That particular day I took at least a couple of steps on top of it,, more cartoon style though.

No Offense Talon. But swinging My excaliber in the water fast is not easy. Scooping a snake that swims very well with it and then trying to fling it far enoughaway sounds really hard, especially if you are chest deep?
Many years ago I had a moccason get in the water with me in Texas,,, and came right up to me. I backed up and it advanced, but never struck. It isn't easy getting out onto a bank but I did. And it did freak me out. ( ever watch lonesome dove?)

On the other hand, Here is what I do now..... try not to think about it. And I have decided that if confronted crying and making a scene would disgust the snake so much it would just snort at my unworthiness and swim away.

I'm saying use it like a snake hook. If it is floating on the surface, you can scoop right under and relocate it. This guy is a bit of a yokel, but it gives you the idea of what you could do with your detector. Scoop, toss. No need to injure. Then get out of the water.

And I have seen "Lonesome Dove", more ridiculous death scene I've ever seen. I work with snakes for a living and I don't know what the hell those were supposed to be. But it's entirely Sci-fi or Fantasy.

Yeah it was rediculous . For effect. I have an ocean swimming phobia I fight too, when I am wading around the beach. Guess what show messed me up there? Lol

And I can't understand why they don't use silenced 22s on the walking dead? The zombies heads look really soft, soo?

Oh, and one day a landowner asked if I was carrying and I said yuppers . He said, good, cause he saw a mama bear and her cub that week. Hmm. I had the 380 and was really wishing I had brought more juice.

But here is what I did, besides steeling myself and preparing to snivel on command? I tried not to concentrate on it and just paid attention.

Seriously I haven't had to yet, but I bet uncontrollable sobbing will get you out of most tough scrapes with wild critters, won't it?

In bear country I wouldn't carry anything less then a .45 lol

Lolol

We don't have that many bears around here usually, but depending on the conditions they start following the lowlands and rivers.

Same here just big cats rather have bears. Big cats are professional stalkers so if you feel like you're being followed you probly are lol.

They can also jump, leap 30 feet horizontally, ambush style. You wont hear a thing and you wont know what hit you,see yeah:wave:

if you can fire two .380's fast and close enough it's like a .760
