I found about a dozen of these in the same spot. They are (as pictured) smaller than a dime. Smooth edged. Smooth faced. No markings. Slightly concave on one size and slightly convex on the other.

Look like copper.

Any ideas?

Agreed it's a bad photo. Not sure a good photo would help though.

So, this would go inside cloth / plastic and make the solid part of the button?

it might be a part of a two part button (of which there is several types) ---with its domed type shape -- it could be a covered with cloth and attached to a backer ---or it might be just a plain type that sets in the holder with a rimmed edge that the holder folds over holding it in place, without better photos more info hard to say.

Welcome to T-Net.

What kind of site did you find these at? If a home site I'd agree with part of a button. How thick is it? Was it a factory/industrial type site? Perhaps it was a punched out part of a gasket?

I found them at a park near a school. All were within 6 inches of each other.

humm all found in a 6 inch area -- holes punched out of a piece of copper plate for some type of electrical use seems likely upon hearing that.

Use the macro setting on your camera and post some new pictures.
