Yep, that's a small Bottle - cool find - maybe it was used for some type of Vaccine ?
 

Have a lot of small from digging this has to be smallest

Where does the side seam stop, or does it go over the lip?
 

I had to go have a look at my smallest of this type.
They look like quarts compared to yours.

These were recovered in Chinese construction sites along the R/R that was completed in 1885.
 

I like the green some of my tact of iodine still has glass stem and one still has contents

We always were of the opinion that the rectangular vials were opium.
There was always many that were broken at the sites we dug.

I have vials seems people tucked them between roots on trees first is some vials last is iodine
