Wow what a tough day getting permission. Talked to 4 people, got 3 no's, the 1 yes came from a property I hit twice before on other days. I was gonna go to the area I got my 1857 seated dime a few weeks back but I'll save that for another day. Salvaged the day with 3 Indians (2) 1864s and (1) 1865, 5 wheats, some flat buttons and the ornate mystery item on the chain. 59 wheats & 9 Indians fty. I'm more than happy with 3 early Indians in pretty good shape! Thanks for looking &hh! 20170401_165827.jpg20170401_164202.jpg20170401_184629.jpg20170401_184608.jpg20170401_185924.jpg20170401_184756.jpg

Nice finds, nice hunt....

Beautiful patina on the Indians, but that ornate piece looks like it has some practical use. Does it appear to be broken? Is it the right size to fit through a button hole?

Thanks dave!, I think it's a watch winder, broken on end. This was the spot we hit where I "stole" your cent trifecta when I nabbed that indian head last year.

Very nice Tribe....those are very hard to come by, for me at least. Congratulations on your great hunt!!
