Found all these items scattered in an old farm field. For the frame object, I thought at first I had an ornate colonial shoe buckle; however, I am thinking it is something much later based on its construction, perhaps some sort of Victorian buckle. Any ideas? As for the silver scraps, I think the cap items are from salt and pepper shakers, unless someone has a better idea. The other items I have no clue, but they appear to be some sort of stamped silver, with a couple actually marked sterling. Some look like they could be from a utensil, but are very lightweight and hollow. While these scraps don't give much to go by, I am hoping someone can identify at least what category the items would come from, e.g., kitchen items, decorative pieces, jewelry, etc. A specific ID would be asking an awful lot. Also, what would you do with these silver scraps, as they don't seem collectible, but they are precious metal and are too nice to toss? Thank you in advance for any comments and insights.

Very pretty pieces! The rectangular piece looks like a Victorian sash pin/buckle to me..and besides the S & P shaker tops, I wonder about the rest. They would look nice all together in a display case. Congrats!

The item on the right looks like the handle of a shoe button hook.

If the item above the quarter is very thin it may be the remains of bonbon tongs from a box of candy. A common item at the turn of the 20th C.

Hard to say about the other bits.

The flowery/foliage pattern on several of the pieces inthe bottom pic looks like something you see on eating utensils and holloware. Maybe someone was scrapping some badly bent pieces.

Thanks! I think I am going with the sash pin on this one.

Thank you for the interesting ideas. The item above the quarter is indeed very thin, so tongs is a possibility.

Thanks for the response and ideas. I had never heard of holloware, but that term really seems to describe what I have. I feel pretty comfortable these are kitchen items or utensils, and holloware makes sense.

The item top center may be the top of a condiment caddy. Also turn of the 20th C.

That's a good suggestion. That piece definitely appears to attach to something, and does not look to be broken. It could very well be part of a caddy, as you suggest. Thanks for the idea and photo.
