✅ SOLVED Small "Dodo" buckle info

I found this buckle this evening, the front says "Dodo" and the back says "Pat April 18 1899".
I would love more info on this tiny buckle! Was Dodo the brand? Is this buckle perhaps for overalls? Thanks so much for any help!
