I can't even think of a good title for this. I thought it was some sort of spout. There is a hole and a cavity on one section, one end is a closed nub and the spout type end is completely filled with a hard substance with coppery flakes in it. About 1" long.

Found in the gravel of a driveway.

Thanks! ;D

Well a hose was attached to it in any case! My guess is that it was replaced because of being clogged up with the flakes and substance.

That must be a disappointment but you can still try to smoke with it. :D

Maybe a wire terminal end and the "flakes" are what's left of the wire ? They are also crimped and could resemble a fitting. What's it made of ? Wire terminals are often copper while hose fittings are normally steel or brass.
