Metal Detecting
Good Monday to everybody! I had the day off work so metal detecting was in order. Spent about four hours searching an old housing division which is long gone except for the streets. This is a little coin spill I found after about three hours of searching. Nothing spectacular but the coins are in great shape. Exciting part is I still have a lot of ground to cover in this area so hopefully there are more treasures to be found! Enjoy.

Those coins are definitely in fantastic shape. I especially love the 5 cent piece! I hope you find more where you're hunting!

Great find!! What do you know about the first coin?? It looks very interesting!! Happy hunting out there!

From what little bit I researched, the French colonial empire controlled what is now Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos during the years 1887-1954. My particular coin is a little bit on the rare side but not in high demand. I believe the "A" mint mark means it was minted in Paris. How this coin ended up in Montana, I'm still scratching my head on that one!

V Nickel

Luck was on my side again as I hit the site where I found the 4 coin spill. I didn't find 4 coins but I did manage to pull this nice 1902 V Nickel only about 100 yards away. This is actually the first V Nickel I've ever seen so I'm happy to say the least!
